For husband and wife duo, Haley and CJ Miller, Nostalgia Tap Trucks is the result of a lifelong dream and a blend of their combined passions. Both with entrepreneurial spirits and backgrounds that complement each other perfectly, CJ and Haley always knew they wanted to create something unique together. With CJ’s over 10 years in the restaurant and bar industry and Haley’s experience in project management and event planning, they had all the right skills, but just needed the right idea.

Their love of all things nostalgic, from vintage cars to old pubs, eventually led them to the idea of creating a bar experience like no other—Nostalgia Tap Trucks. Their vision is to bring people together over some delicious, cold drinks served from a classic vehicle and to create a sense of nostalgia, uniqueness and fun that will make any event truly unforgettable.

Finding the Right Ride: A 1970 Chevy C30 in Manchester, Tennessee

This was an epic search, with countless ideas and hours spent looking for a vehicle that would match their vision. Finally, they stumbled upon a 1970 Chevy C30 resting quietly on a farm in Manchester, Tennessee. With only 25,000 miles on it and a solid frame, it was a gem. As soon as the deal was made, they were thrilled to drive it home, ready to bring their vision to life. It was the ideal blend of vintage charm and durability—a true nostalgic centerpiece for their mobile bar business.

Building the Brand and Overcoming the Challenges

Once the truck was secured, the real work began! Between maneuvering through the required licenses and permits to developing the perfect logo, every detail has been planned methodically. They wanted a brand that reflected their passion for nostalgia and delivered a high-quality, reliable service. The creation of their logo was an exciting milestone, encapsulating everything Nostalgia Tap Trucks stands for—vintage, classic Americana, and fun.

The build-out process for the truck itself has been anything but easy. Converting a classic truck into a fully operational tap truck takes vision, skill, and a ton of patience. CJ and Haley spent hours planning, designing, and refining every inch of the truck to make it the perfect mobile bar. They carefully crafted the tap system to serve up a variety of drinks, from craft beers to cocktails and non-alcoholic options, all served at just the right temperature for you to enjoy.

Beyond the mechanics and aesthetics, Haley and CJ are committed to ensuring that their truck provides an amazing experience at every event. From custom wooden, engraved tap handles to weatherproofing the bar, every part of the truck was chosen with intention and care.
